Will I be locked into a contract?

My plans are available in Monthly or Yearly payments. Of course, I offer a 30-day, 100% money back guarantee to all of my customers. Thereafter, I need 30 days’ notice to terminate.

What about Web Hosting?

Your days of worrying about hosting your site(s) are over. I host all my sites on my WordPress-optimised server. In fact, you won’t need to think about it again.

Can I demo or preview my site before I purchase?

I can’t really offer a demo site for you as all the sites that I build are bespoke – I can give you the links of sites similar to your requirement that I have built, for you to look at. I do, and always will stand by my 30-day, 100% money-back guarantee. That means that if you’re unhappy with your site purchase and want to cancel for any reason within the first thirty days, just let me know and I will give you a full refund. After 30 days, I will need 30 days’ notice to cancel.

Can I sell digital products like ebooks and software?

If you can download it digitally, you can sell it with my Commerce Plan. From simple ebooks, to memberships and forums, to just about any kind of software you can build or partner with, I can design your site so that your customers will receive their content as soon as payment has been made. Payment can be via Paypal or various other means.

Can I setup a paid membership site and sell memberships?

Absolutely, I can do this within my Commerce Plan.

I don’t own a domain - what should I do?

Every website should have a unique, memorable domain name. A domain name, or just domain, is the address that people use to visit your site, like “noahprice.co.uk,” “google.com,” or “ebay.co.uk.” By all means feel free to contact me as I can advise on what a good domain name looks like.

Domains are registered annually and must be renewed for you to retain ownership. To get a domain for your website, you have to register it with an online domain name registrar. Registration typically costs around £10-15 per year, though some domains with funky endings might cost more. To get started:

  1. Visit a domain www.fasthosts.co.uk
  2. Search for your desired domain. If it is unavailable, you’ll have to pick a different domain or choose a different domain extension (.com, .net, .org, etc.); for example, if “example.com” is unavailable, you may be able to register “example.net” instead.
  3. Follow the process for registering the domain. You can choose to pay for one or more years of registration, after which time you must renew your registration or it will expire.

Once you’ve registered your domain name, see How do I change my Domain’s nameservers for information on how to point your domain towards my server.

How do I change my Domain’s nameservers?

Name servers act like signposts on the Internet, telling other Internet users where your domains’ services are located.

If your domain name is registered with another company, my article I have a domain, but not with Fast Hosts. How do I point it you will show you how to change your name servers to point towards my server.

This article will show you how to change your Name Servers if your domain name is registered with Fasthosts.

I have a domain, but not with Fast Hosts. How do I point it you you?

A domain name could be thought of as a motorway signpost.  Its purpose is to direct traffic to the correct part of the Internet where your website is located, or to direct emails to a mailbox.

The information on a signpost is managed by the company you registered the domain with and are also known as domain registrars.

This guide is intended to assist in the configuration of domains that are registered with a registrar that is not Fasthosts, but are being setup to direct traffic to my server.

You will need to get in contact with your current domain registrar and ask them to change the name servers on your domain to use the following name servers.

  • ns1.noahprice.co.uk
  • ns2.noahprice.co.uk

If you are happy to do so – share with me your registrar login details and I will make the change for you.

Please note it can take up to 48 hours for the changes to take effect although in practice it is a lot quicker than this.
